Introducing the youngest squad at Pumpherston United - The 2002's!

The players currently train every Thursday between 6pm and 7.30pm at Pumpherston's Astro Pitch next to Pumpherston Junior's Recreation Park.

On Friday evenings the team gets together with other teams from across West Lothian to play in the WLSDA Soccer fours development football sessions at Livingston Football Club's all weather football pitch.

Soccer fours is the first stage in football development and it's whole focus is to "Let them play". The sessions are designed to develop football techniques and skills needed in non-competitive matches in a fun and relaxed environment with little or no input from coaches and touchlines.

The children have more touches of the ball, more 1 v 1’s, and more decision making opportunities. Ultimately this leads to more goals and more fun! There are lots of 4v4 games to develop technique, football insight and communication.

Pumpherston United 2002 are delighted to announce that their squad has increased from the initial 5 players up to 10 players. This will greatly assist the transition into soccer sevens from next season. The plan is to hopefully develop these players right through 4 a-side, 7 a-side and eventually 11 a-side.

The 2002's are coached by David Charles and Sean McEwan.

Both coaches hold SFA Early Touches coaching certificates.
