Pumpherston United Football Club was formed in 2005 and started with 7 players. The club entered just one team into the under 11 section of the West Lothian Soccer Sevens League (WLSS). This league is a development football league regulated by the West Lothian Soccer Development Association (WLSDA).
Since their inaugural year they have added more teams and now have squads at 1998, 1997, 1995 and 2002 age groups. In addition to this rapid growth the club also operates a very successful soccer school which gives an introduction to football for children aged 5-12 years of age.
The current 1995 and 1997 squads compete in the West Lothian Association of Youth Football Clubs (WLAYFC).
All of the leagues that Pumpherston United participate in are regulated by the Scottish Youth Football Asscociation (SYFA).
All Pumpherston United coaches and officials are disclosed in terms of the requirements of the relevant governing bodies.
Pumpherston United have achieved Access Level through West Lothian Council's Community Sports Club development Scheme.
